OBERON VOKAL C

The active OBERON VOKAL C is designed with TV audio in mind. Its compact size integrates easily into any room and has the audio performance of a much larger speaker. Part of the DALI EQUI range of wireless active speakers and amplifiers.

Low Latency

The SOUND HUB COMPACT uses a proprietary 30-bit wireless protocol to transmit to OBERON C with a typical latency of less than 15 ms.

Patented SMC

The woofer magnet's iron pole-piece includes a patented SMC disc that greatly reduces mechanical distortion for a relaxed midrange and lots of detail.

Active Speaker

Each driver is powered by a dynamic, closed-loop, 50 Watt peak, Class D power amplifier for exceptional sound quality.

Centre Channel

The driver materials, crossover design and geometry were selected to achieve a wide dispersion pattern. This ensures a well-integrated sound, even off-axis.

Active Centre Channel

An essential part of a muiltichannel setup.

Taking centre stage, the OBERON VOKAL C brings clarity and depth to any movie soundtrack. Paired with the SOUND HUB or SOUND HUB COMPACT, this wireless active centre-channel speaker is the perfect match for the OBERON C series speakers in a multichannel surround setup. The front-facing bass port also makes for convenient installation in TV cabinets and other confined spaces.

Wood Fibre Cone

Accurate, detailed sound.

The OBERON VOKAL C uses two 5¼" bass/midrange drivers featuring our proprietary fine paper pulp and reinforced wood fibre composite materials. Together, they create a stiff, lightweight structure that works with the low loss surround and spider suspension to reproduce the most minute details with accuracy and transparency.

Reducing Distortion

SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound).

Using our signature Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) in the OBERON VOKAL C greatly reduces mechanical distortion caused by hysteresis and eddy currents. The result is a magnet motor system with a drastic reduction in third-order distortion that gives extended listening pleasure, a relaxed midrange and a surprising amount of detail for its class.

Class D Amplification

Reproducing the smallest details with clarity and accuracy.

The OBERON VOKAL C power amplification comprises two 50 watt-peak, closed-loop, Class D power amplifiers chosen specifically for their sound quality and dynamic ability. One amplifier powers the high-frequency driver, while the other powers the bass/mid drivers. The 100 dB signal-to-noise ratio of the power amplifiers ensures that even the smallest detail in a quiet musical passage is reproduced with clarity and accuracy. The OBERON VOKAL C is unusually frugal in terms of power consumption yet holds nothing back in terms of dynamic punch when the music demands it.

Oversized Soft Dome

Reducing distortion while increasing sensitivity and power handling.

The oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter was specifically developed for the OBERON series, combining proven technologies from our other DALI speakers with new features. Features such as the tweeter's ability to generate higher sound pressure with less voice-coil excursion for better control, and an optimised front plate inspired by our OPTICON and RUBICON series that creates the best-possible working conditions for the soft dome. For you, these improvements translate to extended frequency response, wide dispersion and low colouration.

Rigid Cabinet

Constructed from CNC-machined high strength MDF panels.

The OBERON VOKAL C cabinet is constructed from CNC-machined high strength MDF panels finished in a variety of wood-effect or matt white laminates. Internal damping materials are positioned strategically to maximise midrange energy attenuation without degrading bass transient response and bandwidth.
