New Hi-Fi & Home Cinema Showroom in North Parramatta NSW

It's been just over 4 months since we transitioned from the previous Chester Hill location to our new showroom here in North Parramatta. The Chester Hill showroom was our home for a period of just over 8 years, so this cosy little showroom holds many fond memories for both us and our valued customers. However, it's time for a new chapter.
In late 2022, we began surveying potential locations for our new showroom. The primary area of interest was the Sutherland Shire area. Over the course of approximately 18 months, we reviewed four potential site locations. Unfortunately, these did not align with our design objectives, so the search continued.
With the unfortunate closing of the Life Style Store in Northmead in April 2024, this presented a new option to consider. For clarity, there is no connection between the Life Style Store and Space Hi-Fi, apart from the fact that we have been actively assisting those affected by their closure. This invitation for support and assistance will remain open indefinitely.
In late 2024, we began reviewing properties over a wider area and identified a site at 591 Church Street, North Parramatta NSW 2151, which ultimately ticked all the boxes. After discussing options, we secured this location and began planning our next steps.
In October 2024, we commenced works on the initial fitout. On Monday 16th December 2024, warehouse operations were shifted over to the new location and on Monday 30th December 2024, the showroom was opened to the public. This was accomplished in such a short timespan with a razor-sharp focus, which required a number of exceptional contractors to achieve extremely tight deadlines. This also meant a very hands on approach with myself committing many light nights completing minor fitout works, installing shelving and performing system tests etc.
Although, this showroom is currently in early stages, the roadmap ahead offers enormous potential. This location is destined be one of Australia's largest audio visual showrooms. As a brief comparison, our previous Chester Hill location provided a total of 220 m2 floor area, which was divided into showroom and on-site warehousing space. This new premises offers approximately 900 m2. Once again, this will be divided into showroom and on-site warehousing. However, the available showroom floor space will end up at around 600 m2 split over three levels.
This journey has certainly been an exciting one, but also one that has required relentless dedication. Many, many late nights have been invested to prepare the showroom for the first phase, in readiness to be opened to the public. As it currently stands, we have one primary showroom area open which includes four bays with active system displays and various other product displays. This property has adequate floor area available to facilitate five generous sized sound rooms in the near future. These will gradually be developed and opened up over the coming months. The plan is to offer one mixed use room (home theatre and 2 channel), two mid-level rooms (one each for home cinema and 2 channel), and two higher end rooms (once again, one each for home cinema and 2 channel).
Considering the plans above, as a temporary solution we have set up one of the available offices in the lower level as a sound room. This will be used to demonstrate systems via appointment. This is a smaller room, which is suitable for bookshelf speakers and small to mid-sized floorstanding speakers. Once our primary sound rooms are completed, demonstrations will then become available in each respective room.
At Space Hi-Fi, we love what we do. Our team has a deep, genuine passion for quality Hi-Fi and home cinema. We thoroughly believe in a consultative interaction, not a sales-oriented approach. We build systems that capture emotion and enhance your life.
We extend a warm invitation to anyone living or travelling in Sydney to come on in and visit us. Our address, contact details and trading hours can be found on our Store Location page.
