The LH-8000 is a high quality handmade wood-based headshell with a polished brass finger lift. The highly attractive LH-8000 is perfect for a variety of cartridges, e.g. MC Jubilee, MC Windfeld, MC Windfeld Ti, MC Anna, MC Anna Diamond, 2M Bronze and 2M Black.
Exceptionally high quality carbon fibre headshell, the LH-9000 is made using carbon fibre resin for the elimination of unwanted resonances. Perfect for a variety of high-end cartridges, e.g. Cadenza Series, MC A95, MC Anna Diamond, MC Anna and MC Windfeld Ti.
The LH-10000 is an exceptionally high quality headshell made using a high performance aluminium alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. The aluminium alloy used for LH-10000 is strong, with strength comparable to steel. Offers more resistance to corrosion.
The Reference Red Interconnect cable is a perfect combination of 4N OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) and 4N HiFC (Hitachi Fine Copper) conductors. These two copper conductor materials are combined to create a warm, dynamic sound with high resolution.
4N HiFC combined with 4N OFC in the correct proportions ensures transparent and stable wide-range sound. The three bundles of the different conductors are placed in an equilateral triangle, held into position and dampened by Halogen-free highly resilient elastomer.
A combination of three conductor materials: 4N PCUHD (Pure Copper Ultra High Durability), 4N HiFC (Hitachi Fine Copper) and 4N OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper), the Reference Bronze delivers an astonishing wide-range, clear and neutral sound.
Signal conductors are made of PCUHD (Pure Copper Ultra High Durability) in combination with 6N High Purity Copper and 4N HiFC (Hitachi Fine Copper). The result is a well-balanced, neutral and precise sound Reference Black model is a high-end masterpiece.
The low signals from the cartridge are very sensitive to electromagnetic induced noise from the outside world. With this focus, Ortofon engineers have made a cable comprised of 7 cores 5N/6N Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) with a tight shield surrounding the cores.
A well-aligned cartridge sits right in the centre of the groove, so that the sensitive stylus can pick up the movement of the grooves on both sides. Get that right, and your music will sound as full and as natural as the maker intended.
