Not only will this exceptional device distribute up to four source devices to two displays in any combination, but the automatic downscaler facilitates connection of 4K and 1080p displays simultaneously while maintaining the maximum resolution supported for each display.
You can route the desired source device to each display via the buttons located on the front panel or with the included infrared remote control. This can be a different source for each of the two displays or the same source can be selected for both displays simultaneously.
This HDMI distribution solution features a bandwidth of 18 Gbps to support all HDMI version 2.0b features. This includes support for resolutions up to 4K (2160p @ 60Hz) along with HDR, 4:4:4 and various high defintion audio formats.
The integrated HDMI audio extractor provides a convenient solution when connection to an external sound system or headphones is desired. This unit features an optical digital audio output and a 3.5mm stereo analogue output.

Which outputs should I connect to if both displays are 4K compatible?
In this case, you can connect each display to either output (A or B). The maximum resolution supported by the source device will be selected.
In all cases the signal will be passed without any processing and will be identical to the original source.
If one display supports 4K, while the other only supports 1080p, which outputs should I connect to?
In this scenario, the 4K compatible display should be connected to Output A and the 1080p display should be connected to Output B.
If the source material is 4K, then the integrated scaler will be automatically activated and 1080p resolution will be transmitted through Output B. 4K resolution will be preserved for Output A and will be transmitted without any processing (the signal will remain identical to the original).
If the source material is 1080p, then this will also pass through both outputs without any processing (the signal will remain identical to the original source). In this case, the 4K display will upscale the 1080p image to match the native resolution of this display.
If both displays only support 1080p, which outputs should I connect to?
In this case, you can connect each display to either output (A or B). The maximum resolution of 1080p will be selected and transmitted by the source device. This applies even if the source device is capable of 4K output.
This is achieved through EDID (Extended Display Identification Data), which means that the HDMI matrix switch acts as an intermediary and communicates with each display and the selected source device(s) to ensure that a maximum resolution of 1080p is transmitted.
